Olde English Southdown Miniature Babydoll Sheep

Mary had a little lamb!  And this is the breed she had.  The original Olde English Southdown sheep of England. The Teddy Bear faced smiling sheep!   In the 40's they were imported to the US and became larger for meat production.  That is the modern Southdown.  These very docile sheep stay under 24".  They are polled naturally.  They have the sweetest personalities and make great pets or lawn mowers.  They almost always have twins so building a herd is quick!  They have not been miniaturized, they are naturally and historically of this smaller size!

This is Annabeth our adult Ewe.

She is hopefully expecting twins this spring!

If she gives us Rams they will be for sale,

if she gives us Ewes we will retain them.

Meet Emily our young Ewe!

She is quite the sweet lamb!

She is pictured on the left of her baby picture.

Below that she is around 8mos.

She will produce for us next year.

Meet Rambo.

As his name would indicate he is our Ram.

He will be the sire of our spring lambs.  These are his baby pictures.

The lower picture is a recent Dec. 08 photo.

We will be retaining these girls as breeding stock.
We are expecting 4 lambs in 2010. Several will be for sale.
Since most babydolls are sold before they are even born we are starting a waiting list now.
